A Victorian Sterling Silver casket in the Arts and Crafts style, made in London 1883 by Frederick Courthorpe. Very heavy guauge silver, hallmarked on the side and on the lid.The quoted weight includes a blue velvet lining, although this box has none of the wood or lead lining commonly found in other mass produced boxes of the period.
