An unusual "trefoil" form Georgian salver, or waiter made in London 1829 by William Traies. Originally this may have served as a stand for a three footed object, for example a tea kettle or samovar.Raised on three paw feet and with an applied gadroon edge.Hallmarked on the reverse.
