Sterling Silver Statue of King Gustav II Of Sweden

The statue and base(both individually hallmarked) are made of Sterling Silver the hands and face are hand carved ivory.The hallmarks are British import marks which were given to Sterling Silver which was manufactured abroad and imported into the UK.

The semi precious stones set into the base are: 3 cabachon garnets, 1 lapis, 1 carnelian, 1 green quartz, 1 moonstone, and 1 green chalcedony.The armorials inset into the plinth are porcelaine or enamel.His right hand is holding a scroll.

King Gustav Adolf II was the Swedish monarch from 1594-1632 and fought in the Thirty Years War.
